The Acoustical Society of Korea (ASK) was established in 1981 and currently has about 3,000 members in the academia and industry. Twelve academic research groups actively proceed in the ASK, with research in their field. Those include Acoustics and Signal Processing, Acoustics Communications, Electroacoustics, Psychology and Music Acoustics, New Media, Underwater Acoustics, Physical Sound and Photonics, Ultrasound, Architectural Acoustics, Structural Acoustics, and Language and Experimental Voice.

We publish the Journal of the Acoustical Society of Korea (JASK) six times a year, which is listed in SCOPUS. Also, we hold various academic events, including regular Spring and Fall Academic Conferences, Underwater Acoustics Conference, Signal Processing Joint Conference, Speech Communication and Signal Processing Conference, Architectural Acoustics Workshop, etc.
